Gary Wayne Reames

Gary Wayne Reames, 76, of North Dinwiddie, VA, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2023. He was the son of the late Thomas and Fern Sechrist Reames; a brother, Thomas G. Reames; and a sister, Alice Rose Harver. He is survived by his loving wife of over 55 years, Betty Jo Reames; daughter, Sonya H. Lewis and husband, John; grandchildren, Douglas Mclaughlin, Brittni Mclaughlin, and Ashton Lewis; brother, Waverly G. Reames and wife, Cheryl; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and friends. Gary was a U.S. Army veteran, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. The family will receive friends Monday, May 22, 2023, at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home - Petersburg Chapel, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 11 a.m., at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home - Petersburg Chapel. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
