Gary Michael Williams, 66, of Chester, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018. Born in Petersburg, he was the son of the late William Winfield Williams and Margaret Elizabeth Hunt Williams. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Linda Williams Kegley; and step-daughter, Jennifer Lynn Moss. Mr. Williams was a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was the proud owner and operator of Andrews-Joyner Iron Works in Petersburg, VA. He was an avid outdoorsman and long-time member of Neblett’s Mill Hunting and Fishing Club. He was especially devoted to his family. He loved them dearly and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lynn Williams; daughter, Jessica Williams Stout and her husband, Adam; step-son, Howard Moss and his wife, Sue; grandchildren, Emily Amber Moss, Jacob Ryan Moss, Lorraine Adele Stout, and Maeve Raiford Stout; father-in-law, Carroll Bondurant; sister-in-law, Susan Walters and her husband, Ricky; brothers-in-law, Brian Bondurant and his wife, Karen, and Bruce Bondurant and his wife, Cottie. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
