Gaynell Eaton Johnston

Gaynell Eaton Johnston, 85, of Chester, VA, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Born in Richmond, VA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Elliott Eaton; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert P. Johnston, Sr.; a daughter, Belinda Gayle Hammond; and one grandson, Brandon Lee Johnston. She will be remembered by her family as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family. She is survived by her four children, Herbert P. Johnston, Jr. (Pam), Steve Johnston (Sharmaine), Mike Johnston, and Tommy Johnston (Hannah); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Faye Davis (Steve); and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
