Gene Fuccella

Gene Darcey Fuccella, age 83, of Chester, VA died Monday, May 1, 2006. She was born in
Huntington, WV and moved to the Richmond area early on in life. Her accomplishments include: graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and Virginia Tech University; member of Richmond board of realtors; National Association of Realtors; Virginia Association of Realtors; Past President of Chester Garden Club and Cavalier Park Garden Club; national accredited flower judge holding a master certificate from V.P.I.; and along with husband was a former owner of Genieâ??s House of Flowers. She was predeceased by a husband of thirty years, Nicholas C. Fuccella. She is survived by one son, LeRoy Darcey of Chester; one grandson, Channing Holloway of Richmond, VA; one brother in law, Lawrence Fuccella of Richmond; and a devoted caregiver, Diane Newman of Chester. The family will receive friends at the J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Chesterfield on Tuesday, May 2, from 5 to 7 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions on behalf of Ms. Fuccella may be made to your local S.P.C.A.
