George Ball

George Edward Ball, 76, of Petersburg passed away Monday, January 25, 2010. He was a native of Dinwiddie and son of the late George W. and Ruth Lipford Ball. Mr. Ball served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Ethel Ball; daughter, Wanda Gentry and husband, Randy; two grandchildren, Mary Nicole and Randall Justin Gentry; step children, Carl and Sherry; two brothers, Robert and William Ball; and other loving family members. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Blandford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Wesy Chappell, 1117 Ft.
