George â??Ponchoâ? Bowling, 59, of Chester, VA died November 5, 2006. He was the son of the late George A. and Nellie Walker Bowling. He was a member of the first graduating class at Matoaca High School and a Vietnam veteran serving in the U. S. Army. Mr. Bowling was a hearing specialist for over 20 years and was the previous owner of Better Hearing Centers in Richmond, VA. He is survived by his wife, Brenda L. Kyle; a daughter, Jennifer P. Burnette and her husband Chris; two granddaughters, Conner and Ainsley, all of Lawrenceville, GA; two brothers, Lee and his wife Faye of Midlothian and Steve of Chesterfield; one sister, Sue Dyer of Colonial Heights; five nephews, Shawn, Shannon, Travis and Hunter Bowling and Lance Dyer; two nieces, Stephanie Biermann and Meredith Dyer; three aunts, Edna Hatton, Madge McCants and Mary Unger. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at the J. T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Chester with the Rev. Carl Cosslett officiating. Entombment to follow at Southlawn Memorial Park in Prince George. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Thomas Palliative Care Fund, Massey Cancer Center, P. O. Box 980037, Richmond, VA 23298 in memory of George â??Ponchoâ? Bowling.
