George W. Cobb

George W. Cobb, 86, of Chesterfield, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. The son of the late Roland and Nell Cobb, he was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
George retired from DuPont after over 40 years of service. He enjoyed deep sea fishing trips and liked to spend long weekends in Nags Head, NC. He was an avid reader and found joy being outdoors and tending to his yard. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
George is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sandy Cobb; his children, Marcus Goswick (Tony) and Tina Daly (Greg); and his granddaughter, Abigail Daly.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation starting an hour prior at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Dale Memorial Park.
