George Conner

George Franklin Conner, 78, of Disputanta, died, April 6, 2010. He was a foreman with the Virginia American Water company and retired with 35 years of service. Mr. Conner was a member of the Charity Baptist Church. He was predeceased by his parents, Weldon and Mittie Bass Conner and a son, Richard Conner. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Dale Conner; a daughter, Audrey Adams; two sons, James and Roy Conner, all of Disputanta, VA; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral service will take place on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 2 p.m. in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Henry, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester, VA.
