George Creel

George Franklin Creel. 77, of Gaston, N.C died February 24, 2009. Mr. Creel was born in Duplin, N. C. and was a former resident of Hopewell. He served in the U. S. Army, a member of the VFW in Gaston, NC. and a retired mechanic with Hercules, Inc. Mr. Creel was preceeded in death by his parents, Norwood and Katie Taylor Creel. Surviving are two sons, Michael W. Creel of Prince George and Stephen T. Creel of Hopewell, three grandchildren, Michael T. Creel and Mitchell R. Creel both of Prince George and Hunter B. Creel of Hopewell, a step-daughter, Patti C. Cain of Hopewell, a sister, Doretha C. Clark of Hopewell, a brother, Phennie E. Creel of Kannoplis, N.C., several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, February 27, 2009 from 7-8:30 pm in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 1:00 in Appomattox Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Association for Deaf children P.O.
