George Eanes

George Edward Eanes “Eddie”, 81 of Petersburg died Thursday, August 5, 2004. He was the son of the late George Edward Eanes, Sr. and Nora Ritt Eanes, also preceded in death by his daughter Celeste Miles Agenzia. He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church. He was a retired Salesman of Old Dominion Beverage Co. for 25 years. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Poe Eanes; daughter, Joan Abbott of Lake Mary, FL., son, Robert E. Eanes of Disputanta; brother, Ben Ritt of Burke, VA; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, August 7, 2004 at St. John’s Episcopal Church. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Family will receive friends tonight from 7-8:30 PM Friday at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church, 842 W. Washington Street, Petersburg, VA 23803. After services at Sunset Memorial Park family and friends are invited to a fellowship at St. John’s Episcopal Church.
