George William Hartless, Jr.

George William Hartless, Jr., 92, of Petersburg, VA., passed away on November 19, 2013. Born in Petersburg, he was the son of the late George William Sr. and Myrtie Andrews Hartless. Mr. Hartless loved reading, gardening and his Lord. He was a United States Army Veteran having served in the Pacific during WWII. He was retired from Allied Chemical after many years of service and was a member of West End Baptist Church. Mr. Hartless is survived by his cousins, Edith Talbott, Ada Branch, James and Robert Cunningham, Claudia Greene, Fred Talbott and Herbert Talbott, Jr. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2013 in Blandford Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Ivan Perkinson, officiating. Arrangements are being handled by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home.
