George Melvin Huff

George Melvin Huff, 76, of Prince George, Virginia, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, April 3, 2020 after a long, hard battle with cancer. He was born in Prince Edward County, VA to Henry and Mary Huff on August 17, 1943. He went to school in Blackstone, VA. He married Faith Moore on January 30, 1971 in Hopewell, VA. He worked and retired as a Pipefitter for Hercules for thirty years and then went to work for S.F.I. at B.I. Chemicals facility for five years. He was a veteran and served in the U.S. Army (USARPAC). He enjoyed and shared his love of trains, hunting, fishing and playing golf with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Jackson Huff; his mother, Mary Lee Huff; and his sister, Jackie Flynn. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Faith Huff; his daughter, Jennifer Davis, and her husband, Jack; his daughter, Amy Browder, and her husband, Jimmy; his son David Huff, and his wife, Tracey; one brother, Howard Huff; five grandchildren, Ashely Allin, and her husband, Cain, Ashley Joyce, and her husband, Zane, Alyssa Lively, Marissa Moore, Abby Davis; two great-grandchildren, Jo Lynn Jane Allin and Pepaw’s Little Mailman, Liam Burton Joyce. A private family graveside will be held at Southlawn Memorial Park in Prince George, VA on Friday, April 10, 2020 with Michael Moore of Beacon Hill Church, officiating.
