George Lamm

George Benton Lamm, Sr., 89, of Glen Allen, VA, formerly of Hopewell, VA died Tuesday, October 27, 2009 in Memorial Regional Medical Center. Mr. Lamm was born in Henrico County, VA and was a lifelong resident of the Tri-City area. He was a member of St. Johnâ??s Episcopal Church where he served as a lay reader and was a retired Stores Analyst with Honeywell Corporation. Mr. Lamm served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during WW II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick Benton and Mamie Roberson Lamm and his wife Leila Bailey Lamm. Mr. Lamm is survived by two sons, George Benton Lamm, Jr., Thomas E. Lamm and a grandson, George Benton Lamm, III all of Richmond, VA. A funeral service will be held Monday, November 2, 2009 at 11:00 AM in St. Johnâ??s Episcopal Church with the Rev. William Taylor, Jr., Rector officiating. Interment will follow in Claremont Cemetery, Claremont, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Social Hall of the Church.
