George Lynch

George Francis â?? Smokey â? Lynch Sr., 74, of Ford, VA died Tuesday, June 1, 2010. He was the son of the late George J. Lynch, and Anna C. Gurekovich. He was a member of Vietnam vets, former member of the 40 & 8, drove a school bus for Dinwiddie County, an employee of the Richmond Times Dispatch, and a retired staff sergeant in the Air Force, having served in Vietnam several times. Enjoyed hunting, fishing, nascar, especially #3 and his family. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Mary B. Lynch; three sons, Robert M. Coates and wife, Michelle, George F. Lynch, Jr. and wife, Monica and John W. Woodward; three daughters, Kathy Evans and husband, Doug, Denise L. Ballard and husband, Ronald and Teresa P. Davis; fifteen grandchildren, Brandi Gwinn and husband, Nathan, Jeffrey Smith, Les A. Wilson, Jr., Drake Evans, Arianna and Alanna Lynch, Erica Lynch, Sammy Davis, Jr., Justin and Christopher Ballard, John and Jed Woodward, Brian, Sean, and Tiffany Coates; several nieces and nephews; one special niece, Gina Sebera; one great-grandchild, Jayla Ballard. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday, June 4, 2010 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the funeral home with the Reverend David Prather officiating..
