George Thomas Nunnally Sr.

George Thomas “Gee” Nunnally, Sr., 84, of Sutherland, VA, died Saturday, November 12, 2016. Born in DeWitt, VA he was the son of the late Benjamin George and Mary Ball Nunnally. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Willie Nunnally. A true outdoorsman, Gee loved to hunt and fish, and was a member of the Virginia Trappers Association. He was a charter member of the Sutherland Hunt Club and the Sutherland Ruritan Club. A loving husband and father, he is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bernice E. Nunnally; son, Tommy Nunnally; daughter, Janice N. Tribble (Craig Wolfe); grandchildren, Robert A. Nunnally and Danielle M. Hawkins (Matt); great-granddaughter, Harper D. Hawkins; siblings, Charlie Nunnally, Mary Lucy, Forrest Nunnally, Avis Huskey, and Evonne Nunnally, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Ocran United Methodist Church Cemetery, Sutherland, VA. The family requests casual dress or camouflage at the visitation and funeral.
