George Francis Smith Jr.

George Francis Smith Jr., 64, of Chester, VA, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014. Mr. Smith was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked at Enron for twenty years, and was retired from Dominion Virginia Power after ten years of service. Mr. Smith was an avid golfer, and a great husband and father. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Sr. and Elizabeth Spring Smith. Mr. Smith is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Judi Smith; sons, George F. Smith III, and Michael A. Smith; daughter, Becki R. Smith; four brothers; and three sisters. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the River’s Bend Golf Course. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Va. 23060-3314. The family is being served by the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
