George Calvin Tatum, 75, of Prince George died Tuesday, October 3, 2006 in John Randolph Medical Center. He was born in Dinwiddie County and had been a life long resident of the Tri-City area. Mr. Tatum served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a retired supervisor for Brown and Williamson Corporation. He is the son of the late George William and Mattie Alley Tatum. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Vaughan Tatum of Prince George, two daughters, Gwendolyn F. Tatum of Prince George, Donna Tatum Carnes and her husband Kevin of Hopewell, two sons, Michael J. Tatum and his wife Stacia of Orlando, FL, Phillip R. Tatum of Prince George, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, one sister, Edith Tatum Thomas of Dinwiddie and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, October 6, 2006 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
