Georgia Cantwell Mitchem

Georgia Cantwell Mitchem, 70, of Prince George, VA passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018. Born in Salisbury, MD she was the daughter of the late Roland T. Cantwell, Jr. and Susan Jane Beach; and was also preceded in death by her step-father, Joseph David Baxley. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Donald R. Mitchem, Sr.; three children, Donald R. Mitchem, Jr. (Colleen), Gary T. Mitchem (Pam) and Beckie Mitchem; three granddaughters, Samantha Rigby, Matty Mitchem and Abby Mitchem; two sisters, Dolores Morris (Roland) and Janet Morrissette (David); two brothers, Ronald Cantwell (Lynn) and Roland T. “Jay” Cantwell (Kathy); her special dog, Ginger; as well as numerous extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Ivan Perkinson, officiating. Interment will follow in Bermuda Memorial Park, Enon, VA.
