Georgie Beasley Temple

Georgie Beasley Temple, 93, a longtime resident of Church Road, VA, died Friday, June 30, 2017. Born in Haywood County, NC, she was the daughter of the late James R. and Mary Kirkpatrick Beasley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Gordon Temple, a son, Richard A. Temple, and several siblings. Mrs. Temple was a member of Central Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Gordon Keith Temple and wife, Rose of Church Road, a sister, Pearl Trantham and husband, Roy of Clyde, NC, numerous nieces and nephews, and a beloved friend, Mary Legrand. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2017 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central Baptist Church, P.O. Box 159, Church Road, VA 23833.
