Georgine Manikus

Georgine Eleonora Manikus, 79, of Surreywood Drive, Prince George, died Sunday, July 25, 2004 in Chippenham Medical Center. She was born in Semarang, Indonesia and was a resident of the Hopewell-Prince George area for 44 years. Mrs. Manikus was a member of the Church of The Brethren, the Hopewell Community Center and a volunteer with Meals on Wheels. She was the daughter of the late Friedrich and Hendrika Doorenbosch Koll. Surviving are her husband, Henri Manikus of Prince George, two sons, Gerald F. Manikus of Richmond and Hubert G. Manikus of Chesterfield, three daughters, Helene H. Noel of Chesterfield, Diana C. Wicker of Prince George and Meloney J. Lew of Melrose, Mass., a sister, Augustine Tjintjelaar of the Hague, Holland, and 11 grandchildren. The family receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30PM at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at 11:00AM in the Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Earl Stovall, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park.
