Gerald Glenn Bates

Gerald Glenn Bates, 50, of S. Chesterfield, VA went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. Born in Henrico, VA he was the son of the late James Roy and Mamie Booth Bates; and was also preceded in death by his brother, Darryl Wayne Bates. Gerald is survived by his wife, Dana King Bates; step-daughters, Aimee R. Rhodes (Jason) and Ashleigh R. McDonald (Jay); grandsons, Jayme, Landen, Hunter and Mason; two very special nieces, Caroline Lee Bates and Rebecca Anne Bates; and two godsons, Justin Blanks and Daniel Blanks. Gerald will always be remembered for his love of the outdoors and his family pets, Monkey, Moo and Sassee Mae. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield, VA. The family is being served by the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
