Gerald Lee Pittard

Gerald Lee Pittard, 82, of Colonial Heights, VA, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on October 26, 2024. Born in Leesville, LA, and raised in Colonial Heights, VA, he is preceded in death by his father, Robert Edward Pittard, Sr.; and his mother, Dorothy H. Pittard. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Following in the footsteps of his father, Gerald became an electrical contractor for Colonial Heights and the Petersburg area for 52 years. He was an avid collector of antiques, which eventually led to the opening of Jerry's Antiques in Old Towne Petersburg, VA, from 2014-2020. In addition to his parents; Gerald was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Edward Pittard, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cindy L. Pittard; children, Vicki Pittard Archer, Jeri Pittard Land (Edward Land), Robert Edward Pittard III (Tres), Kelly A. Quinn, and Francis E. Quinn; grandchildren, Kristina M. Archer, Jeffery N. Archer, Jr., Caitlyn Massey, Brittany Rafferty, Jesse Hughes, and Nathaniel Quinn; great-grandchildren, Aiden Caoutte, Zayne Rafferty, CJ Osterbind, and Waylon Osterbind; sister-in-law, Skip Conway; niece and nephew, Kerri P. Olivera and Richard K. Pittard (Connie Pittard); great-nephew, Nathaniel Pittard; and his beloved cat, Yagi. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, on Monday, November 4, 2024, at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home - Petersburg Chapel, with Pastor Brian Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the start of service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimers Association.
