Gerald David Rayner, Jr.

Gerald David Rayner, Jr. "Jay", 61, of North Dinwiddie, Virginia, was called home by the Lord on the evening of October 29, 2023. Jay was born on May 28, 1962, in Hopewell, Virginia, to Evelyn and Gerald Rayner, Sr. He graduated from Hopewell High School and pursued a career in crane maintenance and inspection for more than thirty years. He was the most loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, LouAnn; and his father, Gerald David Rayner, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Evelyn K. Rayner; sisters, Robin Moody and husband, Richard, and Sherry Crockell and husband, David; brother, Jeffrey K Rayner, and wife, Nikki; son, Jason; grandchildren, Kayla, Jason Jr., and Brandon; great-granddaughter, Arianna Wingfield; a number of nieces and nephews; and friend and companion, Sheila Keen.
A celebration of life will be held at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home of Hopewell, VA, on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., with Reverend Lester P. Stano. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
