Gerald "Jerry" Dennis Shepperson Sr

On December 12, 2019 Gerald Dennis “Jerry” Shepperson, Sr. went running into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His heart was weak and body tired, but that did not affect his faith it was very strong and he had peace beyond all measure. He leaves a son, Gerald Dennis Shepperson, Jr. He also leaves behind a daughter, Lisa; and her children William and Jordan; and his granddaughter, Tara who was also known as his best buddy. He is also survived by two brothers Meldon Shepperson and Robert Ray Shepperson (Filomena); and a sister, Betty. He was the son of the late Joseph Walter and Mary Shepperson and was also preceded in death by his brothers Carl and Joseph Jr.; and a sister Colleen. The family would like to thank his church family for all they have done and for their love and support for their father and grandfather. The family would also like to thank the McGuire Veterans Hospital for doing the best they could and trying to give our loved one the best care. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church in Colonial Heights, VA. A private interment will be held at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family is being served by the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Until we meet again, we love you..
