Geraldine Cahill

Geraldine Clark Cahill, 98, a former resident of Elyria, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010, in Colonial Heights, Va. She was born in 1911 in Lorain, Ohio. She graduated from St. Joseph School of Nursing in 1933, in the last graduating class held there. Ms. Cahill retired from Aliex Corporation, where she was employed as an Occupational Health Nurse. After retiring she moved to Florida and 22 years later moved to Virginia to be near her daughter and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Cahill, two sisters, Mildred Clark and Erma Olsen; brother, James Harold Clark. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Large and Sandra Lewis; five grandchildren, Belinda Hensley, Garret Dellinger, Gregory Dellinger, James Lewis, and Jane Budd; and seven great grandchildren, Leah Hensley, Evan Hensley, Miranda Dellinger, Tara Lindsey, Erica Budd, Marisa Budd, and Nicholas Budd. A private burial will follow at a later date in the Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions are made to the Chester United Methodist Church 12132 Percival St. Chester, VA 23831.
