Geri Hogwood Barefoot, of Dinwiddie, died Saturday, September 17, 2005. She was the daughter of the late Willie T. and Bertie McFalls Hogwood and the widow of Charlie Alvin Barefoot, Sr. She was co-owner of Barefoot Quality Plumbing and Heating and active in many organizations such as, Sierra Club, Citizens for a Better Dinwiddie, Virginia Cowboy Association and SOS ?Save Our Shelters? in Dinwiddie. She is survived by her children, Leslie Babb and husband Rocky of Prince George, Lisa Phillips of Colonial Heights, Debbie Tash and husband Jim of Dinwiddie, Charlie Barefoot, Jr. and wife Liza of Dinwiddie, Cathy Gaynor and husband Ron of Florida, Donna Wheeler and husband Jason of North Carolina; grandchildren, Rocky, Jr., T.J., Beth, Donna Joy, Michael, Candice, Charlie, III., Kayla, Chris and Chad; sister, Judy Benner and husband, Kenneth of Dinwiddie; brother, James E. Hogwood and wife, Jackie of Chesterfield and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Tuesday, September 20 from 7 to 8:30 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 21 at 1 pm at the Petersburg Chapel with Dr. Randall Hahn officiating. Interment at Blandford Cemetery.
