Gertrude "Trudy" Williams England, 84, of Prince George, VA, passed away April 6, 2024. Born and raised in Hopewell, VA, she was the daughter of the late Orrin and Catherine Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Arnold "Arnie" England. She is survived by her daughters, Sheila England of Hopewell; Christy Stables (Eddie) of Disputanta; grandchildren, Tanner Stables (fiancée Tara) of Disputanta, Tara Botts (Ryan) of Colonial Heights; two great-grandchildren, Logan and Brynlee Botts; sisters, Carole Read of Florida, Pat Evans of Missouri; special friends/neighbors, Amanda, Craig, Logan, and Riley Rowsey.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a 1958 graduate of Hopewell High School where she was a member of the C.A.C.T Sorority. She retired as a secretary from Stone Container (originally Continental Can Company. She was a longtime member of Eastern Star Adah Chapter 7 where she served as Worthy Matron 1975-1976. She enjoyed quilting and many other crafts. She was also a pet lover. She loved spending time with her family.

At her request, there will not be any service. Donations in her memory can be made to Burrowsville Volunteer Fire Department, 17300 James River Drive, Disputanta, VA 23842.
