Gertrude Louise Harmata

Gertrude Louise Harmata, 93, of Prince George, VA passed away, Monday, January 1, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents, John J. Harmata, Sr. and Kathryn Togger Harmata; sister, Margaret S. Collins; brother, John J. Harmata, Jr. She is survived by her by her nephew, Kenneth E. Collins and wife, Janice; grandniece, Krystal Hobeck and husband, Andy; great-grandnephew, Jax Hobeck; sister-in-law, Rosalie Harmata. Gertrude retired after many years of service with the Bell Telephone Co. working in the business office. A graveside service will be held, 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 4, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Petersburg, VA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in honor of Gertrude can be made to the American Heart Association. The Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
