Giacomo Ena Buffo (67), of Chesterfield, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on May 13, 2023, surrounded by his closest loved ones.
Giacomo, lovingly known as Giac or Butch, was born to Lydia and John Buffo, in Shreveport, Louisiana, on October 13, 1955. He later moved to Hopewell, Virginia, where he graduated from Hopewell High School in 1973, where he was a member of Pi Phi Fraternity. After graduating, he moved to Colombia, South Carolina, where he lived for a few years. In 1987, he moved back to Virginia, where he spent his remaining years. He was a devoted and loving father, brother, uncle, and friend to many.
Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting Giac knew that he was the most genuine father, brother, and friend anyone could ask for, and he wasn't afraid to tell it like it was. He was someone who could do or fix anything, he was a "Jack of All Trades". He was a dedicated fan of the University of South Carolina Gamecocks and Philadelphia Eagles, and nothing stood in his way of watching his games. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, working on his beloved 4-Runner, watching his grandson play sports, working on projects around the house, going to the beach, and spending time with his big, crazy, Italian family.
Giac is survived by his daughter, Giordana Brown (Trey); and son, Giacomo Buffo III (Brittni); two grandsons, Giaxon (10) and Jaidyn (2) Brown; wife, Joy; brother, Joe Buffo (Vicki); sisters, Anna Noland (Buddy), Lidia Buffo (West), Judi Buffo, and Giovanna Tillman (Pat); and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends both near and far. Giac was predeceased by his parents, Lydia & John Buffo; and sister, Maria Angela Buffo Blaha.
Dad, you are now at peace but you will live on forever in our hearts. We love you so much!
