EDWARDS, GIL, 81, of Chesterfield passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015. He was an A3C in the Air Force during the Korean War, dance instructor, a Richmond City Police Officer, and a NO.1 salesman for Haynes Furniture for 32 years. Gil was preceded in death by his parents Claude & Eunice Edwards and 9 siblings. He is survived by his loving children; Stuart Edwards II, Robin Goodman (Carl) and Toni Burch (Steve), grandchildren; Chelsea, Jackson, Audrey, William, C.J., Tereza,Victoria and great grandson Landon, Sisters; Lois Gaskins, Shirley Powell (Tom), Brother; Wallace Edwards (Mary Francis) and loyal friend Jean. Special thanks to Gentiva Hospice. The family will receive friends, 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2015 at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Chester Chapel with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. A private interment will be at Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society PO Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or the United Service Organizations (USO) PO Box 96860 Washington, DC 2007-7677.
