Gilbert Thomas Edwards

EDWARDS, GIL, 81, of Chesterfield passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015. He was an A3C in the Air Force during the Korean War, dance instructor, a Richmond City Police Officer, and a NO.1 salesman for Haynes Furniture for 32 years. Gil was preceded in death by his parents Claude & Eunice Edwards and 9 siblings. He is survived by his loving children; Stuart Edwards II, Robin Goodman (Carl) and Toni Burch (Steve), grandchildren; Chelsea, Jackson, Audrey, William, C.J., Tereza,Victoria and great grandson Landon, Sisters; Lois Gaskins, Shirley Powell (Tom), Brother; Wallace Edwards (Mary Francis) and loyal friend Jean. Special thanks to Gentiva Hospice. The family will receive friends, 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2015 at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Chester Chapel with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. A private interment will be at Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia.
