Gladys Bass

Gladys E. Bass, 80, of Colonial Heights, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2006. Born in Chesterfield County, she was the daughter of the late Logan and Pattie Stansbury Wilcox. She spent most of her life living in North Carolina where she worked as a seamstress in a garment factory. Mrs. Bass was a widow but is survived by her daughter, Joyce Delbridge of Colonial Heights; granddaughter, Katherine D. Stokes of Chesterfield; grandson, Duane A. Dolan and wife, Valerie of Dinwiddie; great-grandchildren, Kristen Stokes, Scott Stokes, Heather Dolan, Madison Dolan, and Jesse Dolan; a beloved cousin, Ruby King of Spring Hope, NC; and her beloved dog, Shep. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 PM Saturday, April 15, at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
