Gladys Emory

Gladys Ozmore Emory, 77, of Waverly, died Thursday, March 16, 2006 in Southside Regional Medical Center. She was born in Brunswick County, Va and preceded in death by her parents, Jack Howerton and Margaret Ozmore and two brothers, John C. Ozmore and Robert J. Ozmore. She was a former employee of Titmus Optical and was a member of Monumental Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, William Hugh Emory; daughter and son-in-law, Jeanette and Bobby Bess of Prince George; step-daughters, Faye Robertson of Matoaca, Linda Traylor of Colonial Heights and Phyllis Johnson of Minnesota; a number of grandchildren including, Robert Bess of Prince George, Michael Bess of Pennsylvania and Kim Shanks of Hopewell; and a number of great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12 noon in the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery.
