Gladys Jean Vtipil, 74, of Prince George, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 9, 2012. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and socializing with family and friends and her husband of thirty years. Mrs. Vtipil was a volunteer in the Womenâ??s Auxiliary for the Prince George Volunteer Fire Department, Company 1. She also worked with the Prince George County Food Bank. Mrs. Vtipil is preceded by her first husband, Paul Wright; great grandson, Richard Merritt Jr.; her parents, Harry Linwood and Mary Story Pelter Sr.; brothers, Harry â??Dickeyâ? Pelter Jr. and Thurman Pelter; and a sister, Louise Sebera. She is survived by her husband, Donald Paul Vtipil Sr.; her daughter, Tonya Dunbar and her companion, Jamie Moore; step-children, Donna Vtipil, Laura Vtipil, Don and Debby Vtipil Jr., and David and Melanie Vtipil; grandchildren, Heather Dunbar, Amanda Vtipil, Andrea Vtipil, Lisa Waraksa, Brad Mitchell, Hailey Vtipil, Anna Vtipil, and Emma Vtipil; and great-grandchildren, Kassie Mitchell and McKinley Mitchell; sister, Doris Sebera; and sister-in-law, Nancy Pelter. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2012 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Gregory Memorial Presbyterian Church in Prince George, with the Rev. Mark Sprowl officiating.
