Glenda Lee Wilkinson

Wilkinson, Glenda Lee of Chester, Va., at the young age of 78, entered heaven on Tuesday, May 28th 2019 while in the loving presence of her family. Her husband and three children each prayed her into the arms of Jesus, with her son-in-law standing there with them. Glenda was born November 30, 1940 in Burlington, NC, the daughter of the late John and Lou Sawyer. She is also preceded by her brother, Ladd Sawyer. She was a strong devoted Christian woman and a prayer warrior. Glenda met her husband, B.R. Wilkinson, while attending Richmond Professional Institute. B.R. and Glenda were married on June 25, 1966, started a family and relocated to both NC and TN. As a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she enjoyed tending to her flower garden and visiting the beach, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time fellowshipping and witnessing with her three children, Jennifer Zuskin and husband, Steve, Jason R. Wilkinson and wife, Tracy and Jeremy E. Wilkinson; grandchildren, Stephanie Zuskin, Mycah, Maddie, Landen, Molly, and Mason Wilkinson. She is also survived by countless other dear friends and family members and her family at Ironbridge Baptist Church, that will fondly miss her, including her German Shepherd, Dakota. A celebration of life will be held, at 1:00 pm, Friday, May 31, 2019 at JT Morriss & Son Funeral Home of Chester.
