Glenice "Leany" Emory

Glenice Kathleen Cornett Emory â??Leanyâ?, 82, of Petersburg passed away on Friday, October 23, 2009. She was the daughter of the late John Stanley, and Lillian Tyus Cornett. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Harrison Emory; brothers James Stanley Cornett and Howard Randolph Cornett; and sisters Bernice Eugene Spain, Gladys Marie Payne, and Louise Virginia Rae. She is survived by her brother Guy Thomas Cornett of Richmond and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Emory was a lifetime member of The Greater Petersburg Womenâ??s Bowling Association. She was elected to the GPWBA Board of Directors where she served for 37 years and was League Secretary for the Ladies Nite Owl League at Walnut Hill for over 40 years. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
