Gloria Jean Gunn

Gloria Jean Gunn, 82, of Richmond, VA passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. Born in Lunenburg, VA in 1939, she attended John Marshall High School and spent her career working as a civil servant at the Social Security Administration, FDIC and later retired from Bellwood DGSC. Gloria, affectionately known as "Momma," "Nana," and "Duchess," was a free spirit and marched to the beat of her own drum. She was beautiful, intelligent, caring, loyal, fierce and always "fashionably" late. She loved animals, music, dancing, beauty, laughter, cooking, and spending time with her family and close friends. Though her body failed, her spirit was strong and she was a warrior to the end. She will be dearly missed.

Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Larry and Bertie Gunn; and her cherished canine companion Sugar. She is survived by her three children, Cindy Inge, Bonnie Floyd and Bobby Bell; bonus daughters, Michelle Clifton, Kim Clifton; and her fur baby, Molly Gunn. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Brittney Altadonna, Mindy Stell (Dustin), Justin Floyd, Blaire Crawford, Misty Broughton and Ty Nguyen; four great-grandchildren, Lexi Altadonna, Bella Altadonna, Kaiden Crawford and Ellie Stell; and a small group of close friends. All services will be private. The family is being served by the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
