Gloria Laslie

Gloria Mae Laslie, 75, of Hopewell, died Tuesday, July 13, 2010. She was born in Petersburg and was a resident of this area for most of her lifetime. Mrs. Laslie was a retired operator at Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corp.. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman C. and Lula M. Skelton, her husband, Jack K. Laslie and her son, Ernest James Palmer. Surviving are her son, Charles Ronald Palmer and wife Frances Darlene Palmer of Hopewell, four grandchildren, Crystal Palmer, Christine Archileti, Dwayne Palmer and Mark Palmer, seven great-grandchildren, a sister, Anne Warren of Chesterfield Co., four brothers, Ernest Skelton, Ronnie Skelton and Norman Skelton, all of Chesterfield County and Morris Skelton of Richmond and many nieces and nephews.
