Gloria Mae Clary Thomas Morsell

Gloria Mae Clary Thomas Morsell, 88, of Prince George, VA, died peacefully at her home in Prince George, VA, on Saturday, September 3, 2016. Preceding her in death were her mother and father, Henry Franklin Clary and Clissie Jane Ayers Clary; step-mothers Dorothy Virginia "Tennie" Clary and Carrie Huckstep Clary; brothers, Chief M/Sgt. (Retired) William "Fred" C. Clary and Ronald Trull. Gloria was employed by Sutton and Clark, Richmond, VA, for almost 20 years. Her life was devoted to her husband Bill, son Joey, and granddaughter, Catrina. She enjoyed dancing and bowling and was a member of Powers Memorial Baptist Church, Hopewell, VA. She is survived by her loving devoted husband of 42 years, SGM (Retired) William C. Morsell,Jr.; son, Joseph Neal Thomas, Jr. of Prince George, VA; granddaughter, Catrina M. Gunter of Ft Myer, FL; sister, Margie L. Clary; brother, Henry Franklin "Frankie" Clary, Jr. and wife Patsy, of Disputanta; sisters-in-law, Marjorie Tucker Clary of Goldsboro, N.C. and Jean Trevillian of Glen Burnie, MD; special cousin, Clara Motley of Richmond, VA; lifelong friend Nancy Brown of Chesterfield, VA; and dedicated caregivers, LaTonya, Shirley, Ann, Cookie, Crystal and Kiera. Funeral service and visitation will be held on Thursday, afternoon, September 8, 2016. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service until 2:00 p.m., with a service to immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Robert Breckenridge officiating. Interment will be at Appomattox Cemetery, Hopewell, VA. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Crater Community Hospice, 3916 S.
