Gloria Jean Stevens

Gloria Jean Stevens, 70, of Dewitt, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012. Born in Prince George, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late JP and Christine Bess. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Stevens. Many people recognized Gloria as a very hardworking person as well as a loving mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Gloria was a proud member of Crowder Memorial Church in Petersburg. She is survived by her two sons, Michael Beach and wife, Michelle, and Richard Beach and wife, Tiffany; daughter, Melissa Collins and husband, Kevin; twenty-two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Bobby and Doris Bess; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday November 6, 2012 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
