Gordon William Newcomb

Gordon William Newcomb, 89, of Matoaca passed away on Sunday December 4, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas and Daisy Ann Newcomb Newcomb; his wife, Mary Sue Munford Newcomb; and his 15 brothers, and sisters. Gordon retired from Brown & Williamson after 33 years of service. Gordon is survived by his sons, David Newcomb and his wife, Karen, Mike Newcomb and his wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Shannon Jarrard and her husband, Ryan, Rebecca Cox and her husband, Andy, Brent Harrison; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Matthew, Landon, Holly, Brooke; several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday December 7, 2016 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Thursday December 8, 2016 in Southlawn Memorial Park.
