Grace Hunt Chase

Grace Hunt Chase, 94, of Hopewell, VA, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Paran Earl Chase; and daughter, Debbie Campbell. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She graduated from Westminster Choir College, was Director of Music at First Baptist Church for the past 40 years, and was a piano teacher for many years. She loved quilting, knitting, board and card games with friends and family. She was survived by her daughters, Barbara Everett and Cindy White (Tom); son-in-law, Darrell Campbell; grandchildren, Megan Campbell, Kaylan Campbell McDowell (Ben), Chase Campbell; great-grandchildren, Norah Grace McDowell, Grant Paran McDowell; and brother, Jimmy Hunt. A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022 with a visitation one-hour prior at First Baptist Church at 401 N 2nd Ave, Hopewell, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church and its Music Department in Hopewell. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T.
