Gracie Farrar

Gracie Spain Farrar, 89 of Petersburg, widow of Elmo Cawthorne Farrar, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2005 at her residence. Born in Dinwiddie County, she was the daughter of the late Elwyn Covington and Louisa Avis Talley Spain. She was a retried bookkeeper with Bollingbrook School and a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Petersburg. Mrs. Farrar is survived by her daughter, Mary Louisa Farrar of Richmond. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday, December 7, at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, at Blandford Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Rand Forder, officiating.
