Gregory Earl Berleue

Gregory Earl Berleue, 70, of Chester, VA passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021. Born in New York on March 31, 1951, he was the son of the late Frederick Berleue. Mr. Berleue retired from the United States Army after 21 years of faithful service to his country. Following his discharge from the Army, he went on to retire a second time from Honeywell as a Lab Technician after 18 years of dedicated service. He was a longtime active member of the Heights Baptist Church and was also a member of the Colonial Heights Seniors Golf Association and the Cardinal Golf Course on Fort Lee. Mr. Berleue was an avid fisherman, who had many loves in life, but none compared to the love he had for his Lord and his Family. He will be remembered by his family as a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother and uncle. Mr. Berleue is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Chi S. Berleue; one daughter, Jennifer Synan and husband, DJ; his mother, Bernice Berleue; one brother, Gary Berleue and wife, Denise; a niece, Starr Barreto; and three aunts, Jean, Althea and MaryLee. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Randy Hahn, officiating. Interment with military honors will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 2151, Memphis, TN 38101 in memory of Gregory Berleue.
