Guy Douglas Webb

Guy Douglas Webb, 61, of Chester, VA passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Born in Petersburg, VA he was the son of the late Herbert Marvin, Jr. and Betty Styles Webb; and was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert Marvin, Sr. and Mary Webb. He was a graduate of Richard Bland College and had continued his education at Liberty University. Mr. Webb actively served in the fire service industry for 42 years, and had worked at the Petersburg Fire Department, Chesterfield Fire Department and the Dominion Power Safety and Emergency Response Training program. He had also volunteered with the Southside Virginia Emergency Crew and the Blackstone Fire Department. Doug was a member of Destination Church in Hopewell, VA and was a member of Blandford Lodge No. 3 A.F. & A.M. Mr. Webb had achieved a Second Degree Black Belt, and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing hiking and biking, and was a lover of Harley Davidson. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, most incredible father, grandfather, PaPa, uncle, brother and friend. Mr. Webb was a phenomenal human being and was a dedicated servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was the smartest man anyone could hope to know and was always willing to help people whenever they would ask. Mr. Webb is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Tamela Hamilton Webb; four children, Brian Douglas Webb (Vicky), Michael Redmond Webb, Sean Douglas Webb and Brianna Rose-Marie Webb; grandchildren, Christopher Andrews, David Webb and Lilly Grace Webb; and special family members, Patricia Tross Hamilton, Pamela Hamilton Townsend (Paul), Mikaela Jordyn Townsend “Lil Leroy”, Camela Rose Sink (Tommy), Alyssa Anne Sink, Timothy Brett Hamilton, Victoria Halyn Hamilton, Alexis Faith Hamilton and Makenna Grace Hamilton. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2018 in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Destination Church in Hopewell, VA in memory of Guy Douglas Webb.
