H.H. Alexanian, 100, of Hopewell, formally of Coral Gables, Florida, who moved to Hopewell to be close to his two nieces and nephew, died Saturday, December 10, 2022. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on October 16, 1922, to the late H.H. Alexanian and Mariam Kasparian Alexanian. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dr. Anna S. Alexanian, MD; and his sisters, Arden Alexanian Diradour, Emma Alexanian Dulkerian, and Grace Alexanian Brocato; and his niece, Dorothy Diradour O'Neal.
He entered WWII as an ensign, serving in the Pacific on the USS Core, and was in the Navy Reserve for ten years after WWII. He was graduated from the University of Miami, with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, and from Johns Hopkins University, with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
He is survived by nieces, Mary Diradour Adams, Virginia Diradour, Helen Brocato Roland; and nephew: Martin Diradour, Jr. (Martha); great-nieces, Arden O'Neal Peterson (Rev. David), Lyn O'Neal, Elizabeth Adams Gutzmer (Dan), and great- nephew: Dr. Jason Roland, MD (Yassie).
At his request, a private service will be held with Lutheran minister, Rev. David Peterson, his great-nephew-in-law, officiating.
