Harley Duwayne Smith

Harley Duwayne Smith, “Smitty”, 76, of Chesterfield, Va., passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2012. He retired from Reynolds Metal Company after 39 years of service. After his retirement he was employed by Garden Traditions for six years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints. Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents, Vilson M. Smith and Virgie E. Stafford Smith and brother, Curtis Smith. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Frances V. Smith; daughters, Melissa S. Kennedy, of Charlottesville, Va., Susan S. Jones (Jason) of Rocky Mt., Va.; sons, Jason M. Smith (Xandra) of Hurricane, UT, and Brandon C. Smith(Hannah) of Winchester, Va., 13 grandchildren; brothers, Darwin, Sherman, Walter and Gerald Smith; numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 28, 2012 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Chester Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3541 Cogbill Road, North Chesterfield, Va. 23234.
