Harold Kuykendall, a devoted husband, father and resident of Carson, VA passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 6, 2018, at the age of 62. Harold was born in Munich, Germany on March 4, 1956 and was the son of the late William Boyd and Elisabeth Frida Kuykendall, and was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Burton Coleman, Jr. Harold was a member of Mount Hope Baptist Church, and began serving his country proudly in 1975 as a soldier in the United States Army for three years. Following his extraordinary service to our country as a combat Engineer, he began his career at Brenco as a mechanic for twenty years. In June of 2017 to present, he became an entrepreneur starting his own trucking Company, Cherokee & Comanche Pride Trucking. A few of his hobbies included riding his motorcycle, watching motor cross and engaging in family activities. Harold enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren that he truly loved. Harold leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Jacqueline Coleman Kuykendall (Sweetie Pie) who he loved dearly and devoted his life to making her happy; father and mother-in-law, Burton and Helen Coleman, Sr.; sons, Wesley Kuykendall, Kevin Miller, Jr., and Phi’Lip Miller (Alexa); brother, Michael Kuykendall (Sun); sisters, Elizabeth Lastovica (David) and Margie Lastovica (John A.); uncle, Karl Bechle; sisters-in-law, Michelle Mason (James), Daphne Coleman, Jebba, and Veniece Coleman; brother-in-law, Milton Coleman; loving nieces, Lori Lastovica. Alexus Allen, Ashantí Allen, India Coleman, Crystal Cook, Lesheana Raines and Jacole Coleman; nephews, Harold M., John K., John D., David J., Burton C., III, Terrance W., David Coleman, Michael Allen, II, and James Mason, Jr.; grandchildren, Isaiah K., Landon K., Elias M., Phi’Lip M. Jr., Audrielle M. and Trinity M.; devoted friend, Charlie Yates. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 820 W. Broadway, Hopewell, VA 23860. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Hope Baptist Church on Friday, July 13, 2018 with The Reverend Andrew White, officiating.
