Harry P. Anderson, 81, MSgt retired, of Prince George, passed away on Friday March 16, 2012. Mr. Anderson was a veteran of the Cuban Missile Crisis, Korea and Vietnam with the US Army retiring after 24 years of dedicated service to his country. He was also employed with Allied Chemical now Honeywell for numerous years, was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Chester, belonged to the Hopewell Moose Lodge 1472, American Legion Post 46, and the Hopewell VFW. Harry was preceded in death by his parents; Harry W. & Gertrude D. Carlson Anderson, his first wife; Shirlee B. Anderson, and a son Jeffrey P. Anderson. He is survived by his second wife; Gloria E. Anderson, daughter; Debi A. Hall, sons; John C. Anderson & wife, Deenie, Steven L. Bowers & wife, Debbie, grandchildren; Jeff M. Snyder & wife Karen, Kris L. Anderson & fiancé Sarah, Wendy A. Petik & husband, Danny, Jason R. & Joshua D. Hall, Nikki A. Williams, Taylor Bowers, & Samantha K. Bowers, great grandchildren; Megan R. & Emily K. Snyder, Logan E. Williams, brother; Robert Anderson, numerous nieces & nephews. The Hopewell Moose will conduct a Loyal Order of The Moose Service at 6:00 PM March 19, 2012 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, the family will receive friends after the service until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday March 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Richard J. Finck of Grace Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in Merchantâ??s Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George, Virginia.
