Hazel Holloman Barden, 84, of Chesterfield County, went to be with the Angels on Thursday, May 7, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, George King Barden; son William Nelson Holloman; grandson, Donnie Saunders; parents John and Carrie Frith; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her children, Sharon Hagstrom (Dick), Wayne Holloman (Debbie), Diane Garthwait (Bruce); 11 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; 3 step children, Kuntree C. Sweet (Rick), Ann Ericson (Jeff), Teresa Neukum (Vincent); 1 step grandchild and 3 step great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She retired from Chesterfield County as a school bus driver after 42 years and from Bellwood Officers Club after 32 years. Hazel had a smile that would light up a room and a sense of humor to go with it. She loved watching wrestling and spending time with her family. She was loved and will be missed greatly by all that had the pleasure of knowing her. The family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone at Medi Home Hospice. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2015 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Rd., Chester, VA 23831. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Chester, VA.
