Hazel Louise Flamiano

Hazel Louise Flamiano, 90 years of age, passed from this earth on June 30, 2017. She was born in Ponce De Leon, Florida, but resided in Petersburg, Virginia and environs for the last 48 years. She was the loving wife of the late Gerardo Flamiano. Mrs. Flamiano was devoted to service in the St. Joseph Catholic Church community and acted as a Lay Leader. She dedicated many hours to outreach programs, helping to improve the lives of others. In high school, she graduated as the salutatorian of her class in Jakin, Georgia and went on in later years to earn certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse, she served in that capacity as a Licensed Practical Nurse for the elderly for ten years. Her joy in life was centered around time spent with her family. Mrs. Flamiano is survived by her sister, Wynell Kirkland; her brother, Sidney Regan; four daughters, Diane Fusco Bendl, Desiree Ringer, Dolores Flamiano, and Billie Jeanne Fury; her three sons, Dominic Flamiano, William Harris, and Ronald Harris; fourteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews will also remember her with love. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, in Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, S. Prince George, VA 23805.
